Network disruptions can adversely impact your web browsing, cause video/audio interruptions, or render web sites and services unreachable. The goal of our research is to automatically detect performance degradations that affect your online experience. For this purpose, we need data from end-users' machines. We have built an end-host data collection tool called HostView. HostView collects network traffic and system performance information. It also asks the user a few times to give feedback on network performance. We need your help! If you are a Linux or Mac user, please click on the following link to download HostView and run it on your laptop or desktop for at least a month. Your help and participation is enormously appreciated! To thank you, we give away 40 Amazon gift cards of $50 (US dollars) each. These will be selected randomly among the first 100 users that install HostView and run it for an entire month.
